Corrections｜When Aboard Gets It Wrong, We Fix It in the Open

Rules change, and we get things wrong too. Whenever we find an error, or one of OKX's rules has shifted, we log it here in public: which line we changed, why, and when. No quiet edits, no pretending nothing happened.

Original	"You can add the invite code in settings after registering."
Changed to	"The invite code is bound only once, at sign-up; after you've registered it basically can't be added."
Reason	Our editors tested with a new account and found no working way to add the code in settings after registering. The old wording could mislead readers into thinking it can be bound after the fact, so we corrected it and bolded the reminder in several places.

Page affected	Passing KYC without a national ID card
Original	"KYC only accepts a passport or national ID card."
Changed to	"KYC also accepts other government-issued documents, including a driver's license (in some cases — go by what the page shows)."
Reason	The first draft listed too few acceptable documents. In practice more options are available, and filling them in better fits readers who don't have a national ID card on hand.

Page affected	How OKX fees are calculated
Original	Gave a specific spot fee-rate percentage.
Changed to	Changed to a ballpark rate plus "subject to OKX's latest official announcement."
Reason	Exchange fees adjust with tier and promotions; hard-coding one number goes out of date and misleads. Explaining the mechanism and pointing to the official source is more reliable.
